IV-bracelet is an easy to use bracelet to which intravenous tubes can be attached to keep them and the vascular access device in place during various kinds of treatments. The bracelet gives the patient a safe and comfortable treatment and at the same time eases the nurses’ work.
Here you can read about the affect that accidental dislodgement of vascular access devices and venous needle dislodgement have on the healthcare, which is why all health care units where intravenous treatments are performed should be using IV-bracelet.
The IV-bracelet – Instructions for Use is now available in Swedish here: Bruksanvisning IV-bracelet , in Danish here: Brugsvejledning IV-bracelet , in Norwegian here: Bruksanvisning IV-bracelet and in English here: Instructions for Use IV-bracelet

IV-bracelet
By using IV-bracelet, you make sure the tubes follow the patient’s movement and therefore both tubes and vascular access device will be kept in place during the whole treatment. This will not only increase the patient’s comfort during the treatment but also reduce the amount of time nurses spend on re-attaching tape and inserting new vascular access devices when the old ones have gotten misplaced due to poor fixation.
The bracelet is divided into two parts made of bio-compatible materials, one reusable tube-fastener and a disposable wristband. The bracelet can be put onto the patient in no time and it can be adapted to fit a specific patient and location since it is not only meant to be worn around the wrist.
The tube-fastener is detachable and has three tube spaces, two bigger ones for dialysis tubes and one smaller where infusion sets and extension tubes fit.
The wristband will be delivered in a roll so that the nurse can cut off as long piece as needed for each time IV-bracelet is used.
